Design in the things around us.

This is a photograph that I took while down with my wife and step daughter at South Padre Island. We were waiting to be seated at a restaurant, so I started taking photos of the surroundings. The gulf waters were calm on the mainland side of the island with a swell from boats passing by which reflected from the sky above. It was right after sunset, so the atmosphere was a deepening hue that I took notice of. As you can see with the lines and the shapes between the small swells there is a rhythmic pattern that is very nice. This is an example of the tidbits of designs that I find to use in my works.
